About Phillip Romero

I am a Colorado native and a blue-collar man of Westminster. I am a father of daughters, a pastor, and I serve as the Senior Pastor and Executive Director of my church, where I have the privilege of leading and serving our community through faith, compassion, and action. I also serve as the Director of Campus Facilities Safety and Security for a school. I am proud of my family’s legacy of service in both the police and fire departments, which instilled in me a deep respect for public safety and the people who dedicate their lives to protecting and serving others. My life has been built on hard work, service, and a deep love for the people of Westminster. This city is not just where I live it is my home, my community, and the place I am committed to helping thrive.

As a father of daughters, Senior Pastor, and Director, I understand that leadership begins with compassion, care, and a genuine desire to serve others. Every family, every business owner, every young person, and every senior deserves to feel valued, heard, and represented. My commitment is to serve all Westminster residents, not just a select group, but every single person who calls this city home.

I believe our city council should be a place where ideas are heard respectfully, and decisions are made with unity and purpose. My goal is to work alongside every council member in an effective, cooperative, and respectful way putting the needs of our community above politics. I am committed to making sure that every dollar is accounted for, that we invest wisely in our future, and that we protect the financial health of our city.

Safety is also deeply important to me. In my role as Director of Campus Facilities Safety and Security, I know what it takes to create safe environments where people can thrive. I want our streets to be safer, our neighborhoods to feel more connected, and our city services to operate with excellence and efficiency.

I believe in cost-effectiveness and transparency as guiding principles. In my time working in development, project management, and construction, I have seen the necessity of respecting budgets and avoiding waste. As a City Council member, I will work to ensure taxpayer dollars are never misused that every project is approached with both immediate and long-term costs in mind. My facilities background has taught me that it’s not enough to plan for the ribbon-cutting; we must also plan for the decades of maintenance and repairs that follow. True leadership requires foresight, vision, and a commitment to sustainability and that is exactly what I will bring to Westminster City Council.

With my background as a Senior Pastor and missionary combined with my operational expertise and project management experience, I have the skills to guide Westminster’s growth in a way that is both fiscally responsible and people-centered. And as a pastor and missionary, I understand a fundamental rule of the heart: you serve people from all backgrounds, all heritages, and all walks of life. No matter what, you give them your best, you care for them deeply, you set aside self-interest, and you think about their well-being not just for today, but for generations to come.

I am here to serve all people of all backgrounds, all lifestyles, and all walks of life. I am here to serve every single individual in the City of Westminster. I am here to hear your voice, to understand your heart, and to work alongside each and every one of you to make our city stronger. We are Westminster all of us, together, as one community and together, we will move forward and thrive.
